My Top Ten List of Men's Perfume

This is most probably the most boring topics to post for some of u, but I have to confess that I really obsessed with perfume/fragrance. The combination of the smell and the bottle really attract me. I started wearing it right after my wedding in 2001. U know lah…the “nikah” days need to exchange “hantaran” right…? So one of the item is of course…perfume, and from that day I started to like and collect it. Everybody in KL, if u wanted to buy perfume, I encourage u to go to Sogo, the price is standard same as other departmental store, but u got a lot of free gift; vial, bag, deodorant, lotion etc. Here’s my top 10 choices of perfume (Eau de Toilette) in order yg paling suka first :

212 Men by Carolina Herrera
Smell is sooo young but got a little masculine touch in it. Contains grapefruit, ginger, mandarine and green leaves, base of aqua musk.…The most important thing about this perfume is that it smell so original unlike Calvin Klein brand which is so unoriginal nowadays. The bottle also look masculine with in silver covered bottle dan ada magnet pada penutup botolnya. Chicks also dig it….!

Bvlgari Pour Homme by Bvlgari
Bvlgari adalah antara perfume yg mahal harganya berbanding perfume lain. Contains rosewood, pepper, musk and is accented with green tea, vetiver and cedar. Perfume ni is one of the early perfume yg aku pakai, waktu tu sepupu aku kerja sbg stewardess and dia got 40% discount on fragrance. Bvlgari mmg terkenal dgn bau perfumenya yg unik, tapi of all their latest product, aku paling suka yg ini, I think this is their first EDT perfume in the market. Botol dia bagaimanapun kurang menarik dan unoriginal.

Romance by Ralph Lauren
Untuk sesiapa yg nak jadi romantik, belilah brand ni! Mmg baunya sgt menarik, a combination of crisp, cool freshness, exotic spices, sensual woods, and seductive musk. Perfume ni sgt glamour waktu valentine day sesuai dgn namanya…”Romance”. Women’s version of this perfume juga sgt best baunya, dan ada aku beli utk bini aku jugak. In my opinion, Ralph Lauren adalah brand yg paling aku suka perfumenya.

Emporio Armani White by Gorgio Armani
White adalah version yg lebih lembut berbanding Emporio Armani yg biasa and black version. Baunya lebih ke “perempuan”an dan sesuai utk younger generation. A mix of notes of citrus, mandarin, fresh thyme and bio musks.… Botolnya takde beza dgn Emporio yg lain, Cuma warnanya putih sahaja. Sometimes nampak mcm botol murah pulak.

L’eau D' Issey by Issey Miyake
Bau maskulin ni sesuai utk dipakai waktu ofis and also waktu outdoor. Means ada combination of maskulin and fresh scent. Campuran juniper, bergamot and lavender. …. Aku teringat ada member aku pakai perfume ni waktu main tennis, tak tau la apa motifnya. Mungkin nak tau mcm mana baunya after bercampur dgn peluh kot…he, he…

Polo Blue by Ralph Lauren
I have to say that this perfume mmg dah glamour nowadays. Biasanya aku tak suka kalau perfume tu dah overrated, tapi mmg diakui bahawa baunya sgt attractive. Baunya tak sesuai sgt utk youngster, my opinion eloklah dipakai for person around late 20’s ke atas. Baunya maskulin, but bila aku pakai ni, takde awek2 yg tanya about it. Maybe not attractive to women kot…but for guys hidung only.

Cool Water by Davidoff
Sedap betul kalau bau perfume ni. Tak sakit hidung punya! Sesuai dgn namanya Cool Water, baunya sgt refreshing and original. Tp yg tak bestnya, pasar malam mmg bnyk jual perfume ni, so kalau kita pakai pun, maybe ramai yg kata mcm bau perfume pasar malam. Nak buat mcm mana, dah baunya best mestilah org pun clone. Entah kenapa, perfume yg bau best botolnya mesti tak cantik!

Hugo Energise by Hugo
Ini latest product drp Hugo. Baunya very young and mmg full of energies. Tak sesuai sgt pakai kat ofis, but aku pakai jugak sebab baunya very refreshing. Ada jugak awek yg tanya aku pakai perfume apa, also guys pun ada tanya (ayo…bahaya tu!). Actually aku tak suka brand Hugo seblm ni sebab baunya sgt lembut. Ini pun baunya lembut, tapi as I said…segar baunya. Botol dia aku rasa quite menarik and original.

Escape by Calvin Klein
Actually, aku dah bosan sikit dgn bau perfume ni kerana ini adalah antara perfume yg terawal aku pakai. Susah nak describe baunya. Contain blend of apple, plum, peach, bergamot, juniper, rosemary and is accented with sage, mandarin and sandalwood …. Baunya lebih kpd bau buah2an. Also very popular kat pasar malam, but the smell is very interesting and lembut. Sesuai utk youngster, pasal tu aku kurang pakai brand ni skrg sebab dah tua…he, he…

Kenzo by Kenzo

Baunya sgt maskulin dan maybe some of you yg tak suka. Tapi for me it's quite unique kerana ia adalah perfume yg pertama guna marine notes. Botolnya juga unik menggunakan rekabentuk buluh. Baunya juga bertahan lama almost the whole day.
